In the 1st ever eXalted Podcast, Ari and Adam discuss why they choose CrossFit. They also talk about the power of choice and intentions behind workout and scaling appropriately.

Ari says, “the main difference between CrossFit is that it is measurable, trackable, and repeatable unlike any other type of fitness”. There are 15,000 affiliated gyms across the country that all participate in constantly varied movement exercises. “For example in the WOD Fran, 8 years ago it would take me 6 minutes to complete it. Today, I can complete the same workout in less than 3 minutes”. This is so powerful because it gives you the ability to measure your improvements relative to the same movements and weight in a tangible way for years and years.

Our CrossFit programming at eXalted allows you to hit the intensity and the intention behind every workout so you get the most out of the hour. “We also have a group of people who are trying to get better together, which creates a welcoming community. This is a unique element of CrossFit that I haven’t seen anywhere else at any other gym” says Adam. CrossFit creates a community like no other.

Day by day, what you choose, what you think, and what you do is who you become.” Ari and Adam dive into the meaning of the quote in this podcast and why it resonates so much with the CrossFit eXalted staff and community.

There will always be an educational component to each podcast. This week it focuses on intentions and scaling of workouts. Adam states that he is really big on scaling because you need to aim for your own ideal version of fitness and your motivation behind each workout. Ari added that the scale of Rated Perceived Exertion (RPE) is the best driving factor behind creating scaled variations of workouts, which is relative to every individual.

He has owned his own CrossFit facility and has a strong personal training background. He has many other certifications including: NASM CPT, NASM CNC, PPSC L1, USAW L1, OPEX CCO, and CPR-AED.

Ari Levy is the head coach at eXalted. He is CrossFit Level 2 Certified and has been coaching for 7+ years. He has been with the eXalted community for over 5 years.
