Find your 1 rep max.
You have 25 minutes to work your way up to a heavy single for the day and then perform 2 sets of 3 reps at 80% of just attained 1 RM. Then perform one final set of 3 reps at 85%.
If you have a good idea of what your split jerk 1RM is and have confidence in your split jerk, you will do the strength as it is written above. If not, we will go off to the side and do a quick review with those of you who need the extra coaching. Once finished, you will just find a heavy triple for the day, rather than maxing out as you won’t have time.
Workout of the Day
In 15 minutes:
Run 1 mile.
In remaining time, perform AMRAP of a modified “DT”
9 Deadlifts (185/133)
6 Hang power cleans
3 Push jerks
This should be heavier than a normal DT unless you struggle with DT. If you can’t run a mile faster than 10 minutes, you will run 1200 meters.
